Tantangan Pluralisme Agama Terhadap Doktrin Tritunggal: Sebuah Kajian Teologis Kontekstual

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the doctrine of the Trinity and the challenges posed by religious pluralism. The doctrine of the Trinity is one of the main distinctive features of the Christian faith. The study also seeks to explain the role of the Trinity within the framework of Christian theology as it relates to religious diversity and its interaction with other religious traditions. This study technically falls within the realm known as the theology of religions. Historically, the rise of Trinitarian thought and the development of Christian theology towards other religions have gone hand in hand, although thematically the relationship between the two is still relatively limited. The main focus of this study is to develop criteria in understanding and responding to the challenges of religious pluralism and its implications for contemporary Christianity. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method based on a literature study. The article reviews various theories that state that the uniqueness of the concept of God in Christianity compared to other faiths lies in the doctrine of the Trinity. In addition, the article highlights the importance of the doctrine of the Trinity both for interfaith understanding in general and for Christianity in particular, and argues that the basic trinitarian structure can be found in various religious traditions.
