Abstract

This study examines the complexity of decision-making in Christian leadership, which is often influenced by negative past experiences and the potential interests of various parties, thereby hindering leaders from making appropriate decisions. This study highlights the role of argumentation as a primary asset in developing effective and responsible decisions. The main objective of this study is to analyze the contribution of argumentation skills in the decision-making process of Christian leaders, as well as to identify ways to communicate and defend decisions in order to gain understanding, approval, and active participation from various stakeholders, such as the community, family, and colleagues. The method used is qualitative, through literature study and reflective analysis of leadership practices in the Christian context. The data examined include journal articles, books, theological writings, and biblical texts related to the research topic. The results of the study show that the ability to argue is an important competency in leadership because, through this skill, Christian leaders can convey messages persuasively based on rational considerations and spiritual values, enabling them to make appropriate and accountable decisions. The conclusion of this study affirms that effective argumentation in Christian leadership involves not only logic but also the integration of faith, love, humility, and the will of God. By combining argumentation skills with leadership principles grounded in ethics and integrity, Christian leaders can build trust, reduce resistance, and motivate others to participate in achieving shared goals.
