Abstract :Death is the final stage of life. death can come suddenly without warning or follow a long period of illness. Death does not look at age, rank, honor and dignity. To be able to face the reality of death for humans, counseling pastoral services are needed, especially for people with terminal illnesses. Why is Pastoral counseling for patients who are about to die, because through pastoral counseling, the counselee's relationship with God, oneself and others can be improved. Also through pastoral counseling services can prepare the counselee to accept the death that will be experienced. Perhaps we have no more answers to existential questions about life and death than a dying person. Maybe we can't suppress all feelings of regret and fear of facing stupidity. However, it is not our job to answer all these problems. The caregiver's main task should be to stand by and accompany the patient and continue to provide the necessary physical and psychosocial assistance, while the patient himself struggles to find answers.
